HEMP Storage

In the wake of a HEMP or large-scale GMD event, portable electronics and critical electronics will cease to operate. These devices (simple or complex) may be key to a resilient community. Any items like laptops, communications equipment, power tools, medical and lifesaving equipment need to be available post event to minimize impact. Most current MIL-STD 188-125 rated solutions focus on larger scale systems and process. At the individual locality, emergency services and business operations level, little has been done to accommodate threat mitigation concerns.

There are two primary planning factors that will mitigate the risks associated with these vulnerabilities in the hours and days post- HEMP/EMP and GMD events – prevention and response. Protecting essential and long lead time electronic equipment in HEMP shielded enclosures will ensure both.

Gaven’s HEMP Shielded containers are available standard as 10’, 20’ and 40’ Whether you are protecting server and data solutions in a data center or need access to critical communications equipment post-EMP event, Gaven has you covered with a variety of solutions. Our storage solutions are designed and tested to exceed MIL-STD 188-125-2 as well as the transportability standards of ISO 668:2013. Custom solutions can have power, lighting, HVAC considerations and even be watertight. State and Local First Responders need the ability to access communications and life saving equipment, rapidly.

Critical Infrastructure

Getting back up and running is the key to success. Access to communications, power tools, and other electronic mission essential electronics will minimize impact to the local community.

Military / Defense

Existing operations need to rapidly deploy solutions to protect sensitive and mission critical electronics of all kinds. Homeland Security projects, often made possible through FEMA, are solutions acquired through grants with systems that can be rolled out at the FEMA regional response centers.
